FoSerious

Now I'm serious. Baby ji hit 6 months a couple of weeks ago.

I signed back up for gym membership. I also got a Black Friday special for Fit4Mom Body Back classes. I am debating about continuing and signing up for the monthly unlimited since it keeps me accountable with other moms, and helps keep things fresh.

I've worked out everyday of winter break so far.

I am so motivated by The Bucket List Family and their Travel Diet and Workout plans.

I've been waking up at about 5 am every morning to fit my workout in before the busy day ahead. Working out early also helps me want to eat healthier for the rest of the day. I haven't done any serious changes to my diet though since I am still breastfeeding I want to keep the caloric intake a bit high. But I'm trying to eat lots of veggies, lean proteins and soups since it's been chilly.

I love this new Tabata app timer I got for 4.99.  The timer totally changes the way I work out because it keeps me accountable and on my toes for how I am spending my time at the gym.

Reasons to Work Out During School Year

I am anxious about the school year starting and having enough time and energy to do everything I need to do. To work, pump, spend time with kids, cook and prep healthy meals, sleep, spend quality time with Wanji, work out.. I'm trying to not let it overwhelm me. I can see myself talking myself out of working out. So to counteract that here are reasons I should work out. 1. I sleep better when I work out. 2. I have more energy when I work out-- for work and for my kids. 3. I feel better, therefore my mood, attitude, outlook on life is brighter and happier when I work out. I feel better about myself. 4. I will look better-- being able to wear better clothes, which will also help me feel better. 5. I can fit workouts in on Sat, Sun, and ONE weekday morning. I just have to wake up early!!! Because it WILL be worth it. On days I work out: -I need to prep all pumping supplies, lunches, clothing, kenji's stuff, workout stuff.. the night before. 720pm Feed Kenji 745 sleep...

Starting my Journey

I decided to start a new blog to document my fitness journey so that I can see how far I've come. About me: I am a 32 year old Korean-American, Mom of two, and a full-time elementary school art teacher at a high needs school. I am Mom to a very active 28 month old girl and a 2 month old newborn boy. I have struggled with many body issues over the years since middle school and I have learned that fitness and eating healthy keeps me happy and well balanced. I have had knee surgery twice and struggle with plantar fascitiis, so I have to be very careful about listening to my body and taking it easy with high-impact workouts. I am now 2 months (and three days if you want to be exact) post-partum and in week 4 of pre-BBG Kayla Itsines Sweat program. A couple of weeks I missed one of the resistance workouts so I decided I am going to repeat weeks 3 and 4 of pre-BBG. Plus, it was getting too difficult for my out-of-shape post partum body. I gained about 40 lbs during my pregnancy. At...
